What we collect
Last updated 5 October 2026
In short: the game collects nothing about you itself, and this website keeps anonymous visit statistics, without cookies, and the messages you choose to send us.
The game
After Troy has no analytics, no tracking and no advertising, and you can play it without an internet connection.
Online play and the leaderboards go through Steam. When you play with friends, the game talks to theirs through Steam. When a run ends, your score, hero and mission go to Steam's leaderboards under your Steam name, where other players can see them. Nothing is sent to us.
It saves a few files on your own computer: your settings, your progress through the tutorial and your scores. On Windows they are in %APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\After Troy\. They never leave your machine, and deleting them removes them completely.
You buy and run the game through Steam. Your Steam account, payment and anything Steam records about your play are handled by Valve, under the Steam Privacy Policy, not by us.
This website
Visit statistics. To learn what people look at, the site counts its visits itself. For each page we record: the page, the site or link that sent you here, roughly how long the page was in use, how far down you scrolled, which part of the page was on screen, which links and buttons you clicked, whether you played the trailer, your browser, operating system, type of device, screen width and the language your browser asks for.
There is no cookie and your IP address is not stored. To tell one visit from the next on the same day, the server mixes your IP address and browser name with a secret that is thrown away every day, and keeps only the result. So we can see that someone read three pages, but not who, and not that the same person came back the next day. The statistics stay on this server, are never shared or sold, and are deleted after 13 months.
If your browser is set to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the site sends nothing at all.
The cookie notice. The notice you may see on your first visit remembers, in your own browser only, that you closed it. That is never sent to the server.
Support messages. If you write to us through the support page, we keep your name (if you give one), your email address and your message, only to answer you. We do not add you to any list and never share it. Ask us and we delete it.
No third parties. No advertising, no outside analytics service, no social media trackers. The fonts, images, clips and trailer are all served from this site itself, so loading a page contacts no one else. The Wishlist button is a plain link to Steam: nothing is sent to Steam until you click it.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send a message through the support page.
Changes
If any of this changes, for example if the game ever adds online features, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
