Patch 0.2.2: new Labours and plainer text
Patch 0.2.2 is a small update. The Labours have a new order with three new ones, card upgrades move to the Strongholds, and every text in the game has been rewritten to say plainly what happens.
In this update
Labours
- The Labours have a new order, and three are new: Poseidon's Wrath, Achilles' Heel and The Fates.
- Labours no longer take a Favour out of Olympus. The cities go up a level instead.
- The gods' meters and the price of Companions are no longer Labours.
The twelve Labours now
- I. Wrath of Zeus. Start at −2 Zeus' Law.
- II. Cities are one level higher.
- III. Marauder Camps and Beasts get +1 Armour.
- IV. Poseidon's Wrath. Exploring costs 3 Move.
- V. Achilles' Heel. You start with a Wound that never leaves your deck. Healing it only sends it to your discard pile.
- VI. Cities are one more level higher.
- VII. Strongholds and Oracles get +1 Armour.
- VIII. Marauder Camps and Beasts get +1 on every attack.
- IX. Cities are one more level higher.
- X. You are knocked out one Wound sooner.
- XI. Cities are one more level higher.
- XII. The Fates. One turn fewer each round.
Cards and Rules
- Upgrading a card now happens at a Stronghold you hold, not at a Shrine. Pay one mana of any colour: a Blessing, a Boon or a Favour. It does not use up your turn, and you can do it once a turn. Shrines still give their Blessing at the end of your turn.
- Make It Serve, Nothing Left to Lose, Steel Alone and Use the Wound now ask which card to play sideways right after you use them. Close the picker to keep the bonus for later.
- Wall of Fire's powered side now gives +2 for every enemy in the fight. It used to count only enemies with a Fire attack.
- Temple Seers: "Gain 2 Boons" now lets you pick each Boon's colour, any colour, gold and black included.
Places and the Market
- The panel for the place you stand on has a new look, matching the hover card: a cleaner header, the enemy's model, and new Trade, Rob, Burn and Go in buttons with the Zeus' Law cost inside.
- The Market button always shows the whole Market, even at a homestead or temple. Trade here still shows only what that place sells.
- On a place card, the small pile mark ("Fight 1") now shows its pile colour. Hover it to see every enemy that pile can give you.
- "Bonus action" on the Homestead's Rob line can be hovered to read what it means.
Interface and Text
- All game text now says plainly what happens: cards, places, Skills, messages, menus and the tutorial, in every language. "Strong side" is now "powered side" everywhere.
- The mission tab now says how many map tiles are still hidden, like "3 tiles left". Hover it to see what that means.
- Clicking a Companion with a Banner of Courage or Fear now lists the banner in its menu too, next to its own abilities.
