Patch 0.3.3: Atalanta runs faster

Patch 0.3.3 gives Atalanta a new passive, adds a fourth Favour to solo games, and brings Undo, live pointers and many more pings to online play.

In this update

Atalanta

  • Her new passive: all terrain costs her 1 less Move, to a minimum of 2. Forests and hills cost 2, a desert by Day 4. The numbers on the map show her prices.
  • Her old Favour reroll is gone.

Solo games

  • Solo games now have 4 Favours in Olympus instead of 3. The tutorial keeps 3.

Rules and cards

  • Aeneas: spare Block becomes Attack only if every Block card you played was needed. A Block card you did not need cancels it for that fight, and the count on screen shows it.
  • Bear It now says: outside a fight, discard 1 Wound from your hand and draw a card. It used to Heal 1.
  • Healing now takes Wounds from your hand only.
  • A Feat you gain shows in your deck right away. When Zeus' Law is below 0, the Market's "short" count includes that penalty.

Fights

  • An enemy you block now strikes at once and its blow hits your shield. Enemies that will still hit you keep their weapons raised, so you can see who is left.
  • Undo right after winning a fight brings the fight back as it was. Achilles' Shield comes back when you undo.
  • A city with four or five defenders stands them further apart, and the camera shows each of them whole.
  • The Satyr Horncaller blows his horn with his whole body, and the satyr he calls up lands in view.
  • Medea's first fireball of a session no longer freezes the game.

Tutorial

  • The tutorial plays the way a good player would: in the first fight you pay with the gold Favour instead of playing upper halves twice.
  • It is read by a stand-in voice for now.

Online play

  • Undo works in online games.
  • While another player plays, you see their hand and their pointer. A switch at the top, or H, flips back to your own hand.
  • Many more pings: Alt+click picks the right one for what you point at, and the scroll button opens the ping wheel. They have new looks and sounds.
  • In an online lobby, every player can pick any hero nobody else is playing. A Steam friend can be invited again a few seconds later.
  • The Companion offer has 4 Companions for two players, 5 for three and 6 for four. The Market and reward chests fit them all in a row.
